Admiral Yamamoto II (AY2) was a Mulberry Red 1991 Honda Accord LX 4-cylinder Automatic 4-door sedan owned by David Lovejoy from July 2003 to May 2007. It was purchased for US$4000.
It was named for Admiral Yamamoto, David's brother's first car, a 1989 Accord sedan, itself named for the Japanese Admiral who spearheaded the Pearl Harbor attack that brought the United States into WWII.

AY2 was distinguished from other Accords by its two cream colored racing stripes running from the hood to the roof to the trunklid, and by its Mulberry Red plastic wheel covers, which were slightly redder than tha body color.

AY2 was totaled in a collision in May 2007 when an elderly woman attempted an illegal left turn in front of AY2. AY2 was travelling at approxamately 40 mph and did not have sufficient time to avoid the collision. As a result, the whole of the body structure forward of the windshield was crushed to one side.

Though AY2 was not fitted with airbags. David was uninjured in the frontal collision, receiving only a minor burn from the automatic shoulder seatbelt. The elderly party took full liability for the collision. AY2 was succeeded by the Black Pearl, a '98 Civic hatch with seats that are often reclined too much for senior partners of Harrisburg-based law firms.
