Dorks Together is a silent pod cast written by Gavin & MechaShiva. It's like braille for the deaf.

So earlier Gavin started dancing around with mouthwash in his mouth, waving his fists around and doing this sort of hula-hoop motion. Realizing that he was making a crude attempt at communication, I deciphered "Time two dokes." Which made no sense at all.

Well, you were close... I was trying to say "Time to do dorks together." I suppose the announcement could have waited another 30 - 60 seconds, per the suggestion on the mouthwash bottle.

Moving on... Mister Greene made an interesting suggestion today. He thought it could be fun for people to submit 5 - 10 word game ideas over the message board and have us choose one each week to make into a game. Nothing fancy, not even necessarily good, but a unique game all the same.

He thought it would be a laugh if I was given a time limit of 60 seconds to describe the game verbally. (This would have to wait until Dorks Together gets converted into a weekly pod cast of course)

I could see that... I could even see inviting guests on the show and having them read over a rules sheet, then try to break it into a playable rule set within 60 seconds.

I like the idea too. It won't change my schedule much -- I already do a quick-fire game design or two each week. This would give me a focus for it... I could see including only the 60 second rules in each of those games, and seeing if anyone can play the games based on that.

Speaking of the podcast, I'm spreading a rumor that you've finished work on the office floor and that the place is getting highspeed internet next wednesday.

No comment on the floor [DAMN YOU URITHANE!], but we should be in the office, nearly up to speed by next Friday. If we get the inventory transfered over the weekend, we may even have time to shoot some more youtube videos.

Well, considering how quickly the rumor is spreading, we'd better have all that stuff done, or we'll look more idiotic than your hand-tapping hula-hooping dance.
