Saw a movie marathon in Boston for the 4th
Hancock: An adultly kids story, not a great, but an average Will Smith movie, B
Wall*E: Again, Pixar is doing its great, but still kiddie in the end stories. It has an odd mix of super pessimism and optimism in the same movie
Wanted: I was all set to give it a not bad, fun to watch action movie, but the last 10 minutes dropped it to a C.
Concluded with a mass gathering on the 18th floor of a dorm with lots of food and even more desserts.

Went to Ben Franklin Parkway with Julia, Mom Dad and the Lipmans to see the parade, a concert with The Clique Girls, Stylistics, and John Legend, then Fireworks over the Art Museum.

Had a small-world experience by meeting out of the blue a girl from Berkeley, where I had just spent a week.

Going to see WALL-E again, with Julia today. I agree the ending was a bit kiddie, but yeah, it's still technically a kiddie movie. Perhaps a Ghibli-esque ending would've been more suitable...

The party went very well this year! While clouds were threatening us all afternoon, there was no rain. Which was great, because 30 people would have been a bit tight, if they'd all been stuffed in the house.

Special guest of honor, El Verder joins us from the north. We had a great

Dan Diaz and the Hampden Company. As always, Dan bore gifts of beer and his trademarked cheery disposition.

GWG (Guys with Guitars) camped out behind the factory during the party. From left to right: Luke (above), Jess, Minsuni, Mischa, and Ezekiel B.

babies in the kitchen… Babies?

A guard is alerted by unstealthy movement…

From left to right: the Aud, Shawn, the Chirs, and Drew. the Aud and Chris brought a superb deviled egg dish (brlliantly striking texture), drew brought some awesome brautworsts which were gobbled up fast!

Doc came for a visit. caught here all out of sorts

Tragedy strikes: a burger escapes and no cat will dane to eat it!

Here I am, back in the frozen North after a harrowing 12 hours of what can only be described as an Amtrakstravaganza. How much am I looking forward to getting back to work? None. None much.

It was indescribably great to see you guys, and a special bonus to meet new comrades. If any of you should find yourselves in Massachusetts, be sure to get in touch!

Nice pics, Gee. To borrow Liz Hurley's words, looked like a swinging shindig. Also, awesome illustration up top. Lastly, Kudos to Taru - he knows he must keep Tako away from the garden hoes.
